The winner of Big Brother Naija All Stars, Ilebaye Odiniya, has taken to social media to clarify a recent post that was misconstrued as a plea for funds shortly after winning the N120 million grand prize.
In her initial post, Ilebaye had provided instructions to her fans on how to make donations to her through legitimate channels. This led to concerns about potential scams and unscrupulous individuals taking advantage of her victory.
However, in a subsequent post, the management team of the BBNaija All Stars winner clarified that their intention was not to solicit funds but to emphasize the official account for transparency and to protect fans from falling victim to potential scams.
“This tweet was solely to avoid people who want to give gifts falling into the hands of scammers. We didn’t solicit for funds, we only highlighted the account we have access to.
“Too many fake account numbers are circulating, and we will not be held accountable for any misappropriation,” the post stated.
