On April 17th, 2023, it was reported that a woman who gave birth to quintuplets had received a generous gift of N2 million from the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo.
The news was confirmed by the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, who revealed that the N2 million naira was intended to support the welfare of the quintuplets, which consist of three males and two females. The processing of the support is currently underway, and it will be sent to the family as soon as possible.
The parents of the quintuplets, Mr. Tochukwu and Mrs. Chidinma Amaechi, had been trying to conceive for nine years before being blessed with five children at once. The quintuplets were born at Life International Hospital in Awka on March 29th, 2023.
