Lauretta Onochie, former presidential aide and chairperson of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board, has called for the arrest of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Onochie alleges that Obi is inciting violence in the country following his defeat in the 2023 presidential election. She questioned how someone who finished third in the poll could be so desperate to become President. Onochie made these statements on her social media account in response to a video posted by Abubakar Sidiq Usman. She accused Obi and others of inciting youth to violence since the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President by INEC. Onochie believes it's time for authorities to intervene and question Obi's actions.
