What initially appeared to be a lifeline for the young man took an unexpected turn, leaving him deeply disappointed and ultimately leading to a breakup.

In a post on "X" (formerly Twitter), he detailed how a woman in her 40s initiated their relationship during his NYSC year. She approached him, requesting to date, and he agreed, largely motivated by stories of other young men receiving financial support from older women in similar arrangements.

For the ex-corper, who had aspirations of finding a job after completing his NYSC service, the relationship seemed like a potential connection to expedite the process.

He stated, "I've heard stories of how some boys get taken care of by older women, so I was all in, besides I needed some connection to get a job asap after NYSC."

However, his dreams took a quick turn for the worse when he realized that his lover had different intentions. He claimed that she turned him into what he described as an "intimacy slave," providing financial assistance only when explicitly requested. This revelation led to his decision to block her everywhere and terminate the relationship.

Netizens shared their reactions to his story, with some recounting similar experiences and others offering advice on clarifying the nature of such relationships before getting involved.
