Renowned Aba-based Fashion designer, Ugomdi Ogbonna, captures hearts with a compassionate act as he, alongside friends, collaborates to construct a new house for a vulnerable elderly woman residing in Aba, Abia State.
Reports by user @ChuksEricE revealed that Ogbonna learned about the plight of the elderly woman, living alone in a deteriorating mud house in Ndiolumbe, Isiala Ngwa South LGA. Prompted by the distressing situation, Ogbonna took to Facebook, sharing the woman's story, and, with the support of friends who contributed both financially and with cement, they built a new house for her.
Photos posted online showcase the stark contrast between the elderly woman's previous dilapidated dwelling and the new, more secure house that Ogbonna and his friends constructed for her.
The post by @ChuksEricE highlighted the compassionate endeavor, stating, “Popular Aba Based Fashion Designer, Ogbonna Ugomdi, And Friends Build New House For Helpless Old Woman In Abia State. OgbonnaUgomdi said someone tagged him sometime ago in 2023 about a Widow living in a death trap mud house in Ndiolumbe, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Abia State. He consulted his wife and made a post about it on his Facebook. Some of his good friends and Facebook friends supported the project with cash and bags of Cements.”
