A polygamous pastor named Seraki Kemmonye Seraki has recently encouraged men to embrace the practice of polygamy without fear. The pastor's comment was prompted by a follower who inquired about the state of his own polygamous marriage. In response, Seraki emphasized that he never claimed polygamy to be easy. He acknowledged the daily challenges and fluctuations that come with living a polygamous lifestyle. Furthermore, he emphasized that his personal experiences and outcomes should not be seen as a benchmark for others. Seraki encouraged individuals to pursue what they believe in, even if they face failure, as it is an opportunity to try and learn from the experience.

He went on to highlight that like any other family, disagreements and conflicts arise within his polygamous household. However, he emphasized the importance of cherishing the beautiful memories created with his wives. He urged couples to occasionally reflect on their past together, using it as a foundation to reignite their love and appreciation for one another.

Throughout his statements, Seraki aimed to convey the message that while polygamy may come with its challenges, it is a personal choice that individuals can make based on their own beliefs and desires. By sharing his own experiences and perspectives, he hoped to inspire others to approach polygamy with courage and an open mind.

He said;

“I never said polygamy is easy. I mean, I live polygamy daily, I know it’s ups and down. I am not the standard of polygamy, my failures and successes do not guarantee anything to any other person out there,” he said.

“If I fail, it does not mean you will fail. I have done so many things people told me I can’t do and aced them. We live once…if you strongly believe in something, do it. At least you would have tried.”

He further said;

“Just like any family out there, we fight, and I came across a few fights! We also differ on certain issues! From simple things as naming of kids to investments! It’s a whole array of feelings! We don’t like our past, or the past! We do everything in our power to avoid the past, but this morning I realized that my past, my past with my wives have so many beautiful memories.

“Once in a while, sit alone and revisit your past with your partner, there are so many good memories over there! What is happening right now does not represent everything about you guys, at times, use your past as a spring board to love each other again! I love you Kagiso. I love you Mpho.”
