A mother, filled with anger, has expressed her distress about a daycare teacher who left her daughter with four noticeable marks on her cheeks without obtaining consent.
In an image shared on Facebook by the Ilorin-based radio station Sobi Fm, the child's right cheek bears four prominent marks.
Although the teacher maintained that the incident was purely coincidental and not intentional,
she explained that while she was preparing food, she was unaware of the child standing beside her. Consequently, a hot fork accidentally came into contact with the child's cheek, resulting in the visible marks.
The mother shared her predicament on a Facebook group, seeking advice from fellow mothers on how to address the marks.
In her post, the mother wrote, "Dear mothers, I need your help. I enrolled my baby in a daycare near my shop. When I went to pick up my child after work, her teacher began apologizing, explaining that she accidentally burned my baby's face with a hot fork. She claimed she didn't realize my baby was behind her while she was cooking. Here is my baby's face after the initial dark marks have peeled off. Will the mark eventually fade? What should I apply to help the mark disappear? Please assist me."
