Highly celebrated Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke, recently engaged in a war of words with a troll who questioned his plans to sell out a stadium, just as his colleague Wizkid did. The troll's inquiry came after Wizkid's triumphant sold-out show at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in the UK, which can accommodate an impressive 60,000 people.
A supposed member of Wizkid FC, the fans' base of Wizkid, took to Twitter to taunt Davido, asking when he plans to achieve the same remarkable feat. "Over to you David, stadium when @davido?" the troll wrote.
In response, Davido remained undeterred and confidently stated that the accomplishment would happen sooner than expected. He even added a heartfelt wish for the troll's good health, hoping that they would be alive and well to witness the momentous event. "I pray to God ur alive and healthy by then to witness ... it won’t be long ❤️⏳," O.B.O (Davido) retorted.
Following Davido's response, the interactions sparked a range of mixed reactions. While some trolls persisted in doubting the realization of Davido's dream, the singer's devoted fans eagerly anticipated the milestone.
"In whatever I do, I will always be there to see you win. I root for you all the time and I know you will always get what you want," a supportive fan expressed in reply to the thread.
However, a skeptic countered the fan's sentiment, stating, "No evidence that you are trying until you do it, you go just explain tire."
