The Ikeja District Court has granted permission for an independent forensic pathologist to evaluate toxicology samples from Chrisland School following an application for an independent review. The school's management was granted access to the samples by the court, which was not opposed by the state or the family's counsel.
The state counsel requested the attendance of the state pathologist at the expense of the applicant, which was not objected to.
