The leader of Biafra Nations League (BnL), Princewill Chimezie Richards, alleges that Asari Dokubo, a Niger Delta leader, is plotting to take over a pipeline contract that was awarded to Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo. Chimezie accuses Asari of having ulterior motives for his visit to the Aso Villa, claiming that his main intention is to secure a contract. He further criticizes Asari for being inconsistent in his statements, stating that he speaks from both sides of his mouth.

As a reminder, Asari Dokubo recently met with President Bola Tinubu, during which he accused certain military cabals of being responsible for oil theft in the Niger Delta region. He also cautioned President Tinubu against releasing Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), stating that it would be rewarding criminality and the violent killing of innocent people.

Following his meeting with Tinubu, Asari expressed his stance on security issues, highlighting the ongoing conflicts in various parts of the country. He emphasized the full-scale war being waged by the IPOB/ESN in the South East, which has resulted in the evacuation of many communities, closure of schools, and shutdown of hospitals.

In response, Princewill, whose group primarily operates in the Gulf of Guinea region, issued a statement criticizing Asari's lack of firm convictions. He claims to know Asari well and states that he frequently changes his positions. Princewill refers to Asari's recent contradictory statements regarding the Senate President's visit to the South East, questioning its relevance to the region. Princewill also suggests that Asari's primary purpose in visiting the Aso Villa is to seek a contract and speculates that Tompolo's contract may soon be terminated, challenging Asari's influence as Tinubu's godfather.
