In Zamfara State, bandits have demanded a N4 million ransom for the release of an NYSC member abducted while traveling to Sokoto camp. The incident involved a group of eight recent graduates traveling via an AKTC bus from Uyo, Akwa Ibom, to Sokoto for their National Service. Emmanuel Etteh, the father of one of the victims, confirmed receiving a distressing call from the bandits who demanded the ransom for his daughter's safe release. The father mentioned that his daughter hadn't contacted him since. A military source has also confirmed the abduction and efforts to rescue the victims are underway.
