A wealthy female doctor has stood up to an internet troll who attempted to criticize her for not cooking as a woman should.
The doctor had tweeted about how she and her friend had exclusively been ordering food from Uber Eats for 10 days. The tweet read:
“My friend and I exclusively ate Uber eats for like 10 days (lunch and supper) and the one day we ordered Kauai and the driver said, “I’m so proud of you guys, this is the healthiest thing you’ve ordered in days.”
A troll replied to her tweet, asking why she doesn't cook as a woman, and describing it as an embarrassing act. The doctor responded, explaining that her chef was on vacation, and that she wanted to try all the new restaurants in Cape Town from the comfort of her friend’s penthouse on the Atlantic Seaboard. She also mentioned that she is a wealthy woman and a doctor.
It is disheartening to see that gender roles and stereotypes are still present in society today. However, it is refreshing to see someone stand up for themselves and not be ashamed of their lifestyle choices, regardless of their gender. It is important to remember that everyone has the right to make their own choices and live their lives as they see fit.
