Concerns for safety have prompted ABSU students at Miracle Lodge, the scene of the event, to vacate the area. Meanwhile, ASP Maureen Chinaka, the spokesperson for the Abia State Command, acknowledged the occurrence in a statement on X, stating, “Abia state police command is aware.”

“Our officers rushed quickly to the crime scene, working with the military, and the perpetrators fled when they saw our officers. The body has been taken to the morgue, and the investigation is still underway.”
