The victim, identified as 39-year-old Manuel Julian Sevillano Bustamante, was allegedly the leader of a criminal organization known as “Los Fatales.” This cartel operated in Ecuador’s Los Rios region and had ties to other South American drug cartels. Tragically, Bustamante lost his life along with his 20-year-old daughter when they were shot to death.
The fatal attack occurred in Mocache, where Bustamante and his daughter, accompanied by a security guard, were waiting at a car wash. It's reported that Bustamante was a frequent visitor to this car wash, and it was here that his assailants planned and executed the assassination.
What makes this burial particularly unusual is that the casket, seen in the viral video, was adorned with an assortment of weapons. Several individuals can be seen placing handguns, shotguns, rifles, and various other firearms inside the casket, all in an attempt to ensure that the deceased would be "armed to the teeth in the afterlife and be able to defend himself." The video captures the moment someone placed a hat on the corpse, sealed the casket, and left it as it was.
