Mykhailo Mudryk has broken his goal drought for Chelsea, scoring his first goal for the club in 24 appearances during their recent 2-0 victory over West London rivals Fulham. This momentous goal comes after Mudryk's arrival at Chelsea for a staggering £88 million in January, enduring a goalless run until now.

The goal was the result of a well-executed play, initiated by Moises Caicedo with a precise through pass to academy player Harvey Colwill on the left flank. Colwill's up-through pass found Mudryk inside the box, where he demonstrated excellent control before calmly slotting the ball past Fulham's goalkeeper, Bernd Leno. Shortly after Mudryk's goal, Armando Broja seized an opportunity, capitalizing on a poor pass by Fulham's Tim Ream to send the ball into the net. This match marked Broja's first Premier League start for Chelsea since December, following his recent recovery from a knee injury.

Chelsea's victory was crucial, as the team had struggled to score a single Premier League goal throughout the entire month of September. These two goals have propelled Chelsea from the 15th position to the 11th position in the Premier League table, providing a much-needed boost.

It's worth noting that Chelsea faced Fulham with a second-choice squad due to numerous injuries and suspensions. Key players such as Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Benoit Badiashile, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, and Carney Chukwuemeka were among the absentees, highlighting the team's resilience and depth in this victory.
