Liverpool took an early lead courtesy of an Emi Martinez blunder, resulting in a comical own goal.

Villa swiftly responded, with Youri Tielemans finishing off a splendid move initiated by Ollie Watkins to level the score.

However, Liverpool regained the lead just before halftime through Cody Gakpo, who tapped in a cross from Joe Gomez.

In the second half, Liverpool extended their lead as Jarrell Quansah headed in from a Harvey Elliott free-kick.

Undeterred, Villa showcased their resilience, and Duran capitalized on a loose ball to score from the edge of the box in the 85th minute.

His second goal arrived just three minutes later, seizing upon a deflected pass to calmly slot past Alisson, completing the thrilling comeback.

The result leaves Liverpool's hopes of securing a top-four finish uncertain, while Villa remains in contention for Champions League qualification.
