Inter Milan president Steven Zhang has chosen not to disclose whether Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will continue to be part of the club for the upcoming season. Lukaku, who rejoined Inter Milan on loan last summer, made a strong comeback after recovering from a hamstring injury and displayed his goal-scoring prowess leading up to the Champions League final. However, during the final match against Manchester City, Lukaku missed several significant opportunities, including a crucial chance to equalize. Inter Milan ultimately suffered a 1-0 defeat. There have been speculations about Lukaku potentially returning to Chelsea under manager Mauricio Pochettino as a cost-effective solution to their goal-scoring struggles. Lukaku is still highly regarded at Inter Milan, but his relationship with former coach Thomas Tuchel remains strained. Following their Champions League loss, President Zhang stated that Lukaku's future depends on discussions with Chelsea. Lukaku had a somewhat underwhelming loan spell at Inter Milan this season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 37 appearances.
