An ailing football fan, who holds immense admiration for professional football player Neymar Jr., has made the decision to will all of his possessions to the renowned athlete.
Choosing Neymar Jr. from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as the ultimate beneficiary of his worldly goods, the fan expressed his belief that Neymar is truly deserving of such an honor.
In an interview, the anonymous fan revealed that his choice was motivated not only by his love for the Brazilian national team and the rich football heritage of Brazil but also by his personal connection with Neymar.
He explained, "I like Neymar, I identify with him a lot. I also suffer from defamation, I am also very family-oriented, and the relationship he has with his father reminds me a lot of mine, who has passed away."
Due to his declining health, the fan expressed concern about not having anyone to leave his possessions to, stating, "I wouldn't want the government or relatives I don't get along with to inherit my belongings."
The 30-year-old fan acknowledged that he had previously attempted to offer his assets to Neymar without success. However, he viewed the will as a legally valid means to fulfill his wish, ensuring the document was signed by a notary's office in Porto Alegre.
As per Forbes, PSG's Neymar is considered one of the world's highest-paid athletes, with estimated earnings of $85 million for the year 2023.
The devoted fan remarked, "I know that, above all, he is not greedy, which is quite rare these days."
