An initial bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi from London-rival Fulham has been rejected by Chelsea. The 22-year-old player recently returned to West London after an underwhelming loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, where he made only 14 appearances in the Bundesliga. With one year remaining on his Chelsea contract, it is expected that Hudson-Odoi will leave the club during the current transfer window. Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino cannot guarantee him a regular starting position, considering the competition from Noni Madueke, Raheem Sterling, and Mykhaylo Mudryk. Chelsea is actively looking to offload Hudson-Odoi, having already sold several key players such as Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Eduardo Mendy, and others. Fulham, who have identified Hudson-Odoi as a transfer target, made an initial bid that was rejected by Chelsea. However, there are indications that Fulham may return with a second offer. So far, Fulham is the first club to show interest in the 22-year-old, who previously attracted attention from Bayern Munich during his breakthrough at Chelsea. Fulham is seeking to strengthen their wide options following the departures of Manor Solomon and Neeskens Kebano this summer. Other potential destinations for Hudson-Odoi include Nottingham Forest, while AC Milan is also believed to be interested in the Chelsea player. Having progressed through Chelsea's youth ranks, Hudson-Odoi has made 126 appearances for the senior team, contributing 16 goals and 22 assists.
