Following his victory in the presidential election held on Saturday, Tinubu was officially declared the winner by the chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu. Tinubu secured a total of 8,794,726 votes, winning 12 out of the 36 states in Nigeria. His closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), polled 6,984,520 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third with 6,101,533 votes.

Despite Tinubu's victory, his win has been met with massive protests from the opposition parties, PDP and Labour Party, who are calling for the suspension of result collation and the outright cancellation of the presidential poll due to INEC's failure to upload election results on its server in real-time.

Nonetheless, Tinubu remains focused on fulfilling his promise to the Nigerian people. "To you, the people, especially the youths, I will work day and night. I will work to the utmost of my ability to make Nigeria better," Tinubu said.
