The meeting, with the participation of over 27 governors and the deputy governor of Bauchi, revolves around addressing the pressing issues of food scarcity and security within the country.

In response to the food crisis, the Federal Government has initiated the release of substantial quantities of assorted grains into the market. This effort aims to ensure the availability, affordability, and accessibility of food throughout the nation.

Simultaneously, strategic measures are being implemented to combat the surge in criminal activities, fostering collaboration among the armed forces and other paramilitary organizations.

Following the governors' meeting, President Tinubu is scheduled to depart for the AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The summit, an annual gathering of African leaders, will focus on addressing various challenges facing the continent and determining effective interventions by the AU in ongoing crises.
