Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has countered ex-Governor of Ekiti state, Fayose’s claims of being responsible for the recent attack on him at a PDP rally.
Kemi Filani News recalls that the ex-Governor of Ekiti state, Fayose was attacked and humiliated by thugs during the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship campaign in Ondo State on Wednesday.
Accusing the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Chief Bode George, of masterminding the assault on him, Fayose claimed he was making his way to the podium when his cap was removed and he was almost beaten.
Governor Makinde, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Taiwo Adisa, has now reacted to the accusation saying:
“I believe that ex-Governor Fayose and his handlers need to look far away from Oyo State in search of their enemies.
“Governor Makinde has no link whatsoever with the incident Fayose’s aide was talking about.”
