Nigerian economist and international leader, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has resumed work today as the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, DG WTO.
The Nigerian former Minister of Finance, Ngozi is a Nigerian-American economist and international development, expert. She sits on the boards of Standard Chartered Bank, Twitter, Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, and the African Risk Capacity.
Sharing photos from her resumption at the office today, the WTO tweeted thus:
“Welcome to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her first day as WTO Director-General! She makes history as the first woman and first African to take up this post.”
Speaking on her resumption today, Ngozi Iweala said “I am coming into one of the most important institutions in the world and we have a lot of work to do. I feel ready to go”
