As the 2024 US presidential election progresses, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are locked in a fierce competition to secure the 270 electoral votes needed to claim victory. So far, projections from over 35 states reveal that Republican candidate Trump has accumulated 247 electoral votes, putting him ahead of Democratic nominee Harris, who currently holds 210 electoral votes.

In anticipation of a potential victory, Trump is preparing to deliver a speech. During a recent interview with the Rich Zeoli Show on Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, Trump expressed optimism about his chances in Pennsylvania. He noted that securing a win in this crucial state would likely lead to a broader victory, saying, “If we win Pennsylvania, we win the whole deal.”

Trump continued, “We’re going to make this country greater than ever before, but you have to stay in line. And don’t let them slow ball you. You have an absolute legal right and get that vote in because if we win Pennsylvania, if we win the good old Commonwealth, we’re going to win the whole thing. We win everything.”

Pennsylvania remains a critical focal point for both Trump and Harris, who view it as essential to securing the presidency. Victory in this north-eastern state would award the winner an additional 19 electoral votes – the highest total among the seven swing states projected to play a decisive role in the outcome of the election.

With polls in Pennsylvania having closed at 8 pm (0100 GMT), voters who were still in line at that time will be permitted to cast their ballots. As the counting continues, all eyes remain on Pennsylvania and other battleground states as Trump and Harris vie for the presidency.
