Renowned actor, Charles Inojie, has stirred emotions as he reveals the poignant reason his father refuses to accept money from him.
Charles disclosed that his father had abandoned him to navigate life alone after his mother had also departed. Years later, a touching reunion unfolded between father and son, marked by tears and a struggle to articulate their emotions.
During this reunion, Inojie offered a monetary gift to his father as a token of appreciation. However, his father declined, convinced that he hadn't financially contributed to his son's success and, therefore, shouldn't reap such rewards.
Reflecting on the emotional encounter, Inojie shared, “I met him and we sat for close to thirty minutes, nobody talked. I was crying, he was crying. I said ‘I have to start going but that I am now out of school. My first work, they said Papa must pray for his child’.
“I bought a drink and put N5000 in an envelope and asked that he prays for me and he said he wasn’t going to touch it and that his conscience will not let him having not contributed a dime.”
