Victoria Inyama, a popular Nollywood actress, has opened up about the traumatic experience of physical abuse she endured from her estranged husband, Godwin Okrim, whenever Man Utd lost a match.
In a candid interview with Chude Jideonwo, Inyama revealed that her ex-husband's anger was consistently directed at her when the football club he supported, Manchester United, performed poorly. She shared that the beatings were so severe that even today, she associates the club's losses with the physical abuse she endured in the past.
She said, “I hate Man Utd, ehn. The number of beatings wey dem beat me because Man United lost match ehn.
“Even up to today when there is a football match and Man U loses, I am like Thank God, today would have been a beating day. Even my son knows and would be laughing.”
