Tiwa Savage recounted how she had entrusted her mother with confidential information, specifically requesting her not to divulge it to anyone. However, to her dismay, her mother breached this trust by revealing the news to her brother within a mere 20 minutes.

The singer went on to emphasize her initial underestimation of the significance associated with performing at the King's coronation. She reflected on her reaction upon receiving the invitation:

“Upon receiving the call to perform at the King's coronation, I initially chose to keep it under wraps, disclosing the news to only a select few. Even then, I took the step of confiding in my mother, imploring her to maintain the confidentiality of the matter. Astonishingly, in less than half an hour, my brother contacted me, clearly aware of the information. This left me astounded and led me to the decision of refraining from sharing any future secrets with my mother.

“At first, I did not fully comprehend the magnitude of the occasion - performing at the coronation of the King. Nor was I aware of the distinguished individuals who would be partaking in the event alongside me. Learning that I was the sole representative of the Commonwealth added an unexpected layer of responsibility. This realization was a revelation, yet it also brought about a sense of pressure. Regardless, the experience was profoundly rewarding and allowed me to reflect on the iconic nature of the performance.”

As Tiwa Savage looked back on her role in representing the Commonwealth and the profound impact of her performance, she acknowledged the grandeur of the occasion and the sense of achievement it brought her.
