Tems talked about her experience working with global superstar Beyoncé on her 2022 album “Renaissance” in an interview with the New York Times. The collaboration marked a significant milestone in Tems' career, reflecting her rising prominence on the international music scene.

“My team just messaged me like, ‘Yo, first of all, I have to send you something to sign. I was losing my mind. Like, What?!” she told New York Times’ Culture Reporter Reggie Ugwu, expressing her excitement and disbelief at the opportunity to work with such a legendary artist.

Tems disclosed in the interview that she received an NDA from her team, which she accepted upon receiving an invitation to work with Beyoncé in Los Angeles. This step ensured that all details of their collaboration remained confidential until the project was officially released.

The single “Move,” which is featured on Beyoncé’s Grammy-nominated album “Renaissance,” is the outcome of Tems’ time in the studio with the singer. The track showcases Tems' unique talent and her ability to blend seamlessly with Beyoncé's iconic style.

In addition to Beyoncé, Tems has collaborated with other international celebrities such as Drake, Rihanna, and Future. These collaborations have further cemented her status as a global music sensation. Notably, she was featured alongside Drake on Future's Grammy-winning song “Wait For U,” which has received widespread acclaim.
