Controversial rapper, Speed Darlington has opened up about his recent detention experience, providing more details about the ordeal. He shared that during his time in custody, his phone was confiscated, preventing him from communicating with others.
The rapper explained that he was detained after being arrested for allegedly defaming Burna Boy, and was kept in a holding cell without being allowed to make any calls. The incident left him unable to reach out to anyone, which explained his prolonged absence from social media and other online platforms.
Speed Darlington revealed that while there, some of the inmates told him about how they had been held for months without being taken to court, urging him to make a video about it.
He added that when he finally got out, a lot of people kept asking why he hadn’t reached out, but he informed them that the police had seized his phone.
The musician revealed that he has already been through a lot and isn’t bothered about anything, as he has been arrested 17 times in the United States, and 1 time in Nigeria.
“17 arrests in US, 1 arrest in Nigeria; I’ve been through the bottomless pit. My colleague has done it all, if I should go missing you’d know it’s him. Don’t think I’m humble I just don’t have access to a good phone yet…,” he said in part.
