Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi, revealed her initial meeting with her husband, Adekunle Gold, acknowledging that she had no clue about his singing career in an interview on the Tea with Taye podcast.
She noted how before she met him, she had already made up her mind never to marry a singer. Simi claimed she was aware of his love of music but was unaware that it was a significant matter for him.
She also revealed that her husband had a background in graphic design and was working for several companies when they met. According to the singer, she chose to pursue a relationship with Adekunle since she saw him as a kind and gentle Yoruba guy.
The “Duduke” singer further reveled that Adekunle Gold left her a message on Facebook which she is yet to reply to till date.
