Yul Edochie had accused May of undergoing surgery, claiming her alleged married boyfriend consented. In response, Rita Edochie, believing the posts were made by Yul's second wife, Judy Austin, exposed that May sought the return of the bride price after Yul married Judy, but he declined, expecting May to accept a polygamous marriage.
However, he reportedly refused because he thought May would come to terms with staying in a polygamous marriage.
