Sylvester Peters, widely known as Sly Sticks, a prominent drummer who collaborated with artists like Davido and Chidinma Ekile, appeals for financial assistance to undergo medical treatment abroad.
Having suffered from a spine condition that left him paralyzed for over three years, Sly Sticks, through an Instagram post, shared his plight and the need for funds to cover the cost of a corrective spine surgery in India. He recounted the challenges he faced after a previous accident and expressed gratitude for any financial support extended to him.
According to Sly Sticks, his medical condition was birthed following his involvement in an accident which was followed by severe pain in his arms.
Both his arm was eventually paralysed and his health depreciated; all efforts to have him in good shape have since proved abortive.
He has, however, mustered the courage to plead for help to fly him to India for a corrective spine surgery.
In a post, he wrote;
“PLEASE HELP SAVE SLY.
Sylvester Peters popularly known as SLY is a professional drummer & a father to 2 kids.
After a slight accident which occurred years ago, he started experiencing serious pains on his left hand & was placed on painkillers. Still, the pain increased. After a while, some parts of his body stopped responding including his legs & hands. His speech has also become impaired.
Several tests have been carried out and the doctor’s report show that his spine was affected. He has been to several hospitals but hasn’t been able to get any solution. His situation continues to intensify daily leaving him incapacitated.
Doctors have advised that he be flown to India to get adequate treatment for his case. His treatment is estimated at Twenty Five Million Naira. (N25,000,000)
For over 3 years, Sly has battled this on his own along with his family. The entire process has been financially draining & at this stage, he URGENTLY needs your financial support to fly to India and further his treatment to stay alive.
