Renowned rapper, Phyno, has responded after facing backlash over his decision to feature the controversial figure, Hushpuppi, in one of the tracks on his latest album. Phyno, known for his lyrical prowess and captivating music, recently dropped his new album titled, ‘Full Time Job.’
One of the songs on the album, ‘Nwoke Esike,’ features Hushpuppi, who delivers a message encouraging young people hustling on the streets to keep their paths straight and maintain integrity. This feature stirred mixed reactions, as some listeners questioned Phyno’s decision to include Hushpuppi, a known fraudster, in such a role.
A social media user identified as @Temmyt_Official took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his disapproval, questioning Phyno’s intentions in adding Hushpuppi to the song. The tweet read, “I still don’t understand what Phyno was trying to do on that track by bringing Hushpuppi to ‘motivate’ us.”
In a sharp response, Phyno called out the criticism, suggesting that fans tend to accept similar appearances from American counterparts like Young Thug or El Chapo without question. He retorted, “Go and sleep if u no sabi game!!! If young thug or el chapo talk for song now you go rush first play am.. ngwere isi red 🫵!!”
