Veteran actor, Pete Edochie is currently mourning the loss of his beloved grandson, Kambilichukwu. The heartbreaking news broke on Thursday, just two months after the young boy's 16th birthday.
According to reports, Kambilichukwu fell while playing football with his schoolmates and developed a seizure. His father, Yul Edochie, who is also an actor, immediately called his father, Pete Edochie, to inform him of the unfortunate incident.
The legendary actor confirmed the news to Vanguard and revealed that Kambilichukwu was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos, but unfortunately, he passed away a few hours later. Pete Edochie's family reportedly started praying for Kambilichukwu's recovery as soon as they received the distressing news.
Pete Edochie spoke fondly of his grandson and described him as a quiet, brilliant, and talented child. He also mentioned that Kambilichukwu was not easily swayed by emotions and was accomplished in many ways. The veteran actor went on to reveal that he always cautioned his son, Yul, about excelling too much in anything as it could be short-lived.
