In yet another tragic loss for Nollywood, Chikezie Uwazie, an actor in the Nigerian film industry, has passed away. This comes just days after the news of the deaths of actors Saint Obi and Murphy Afolabi made headlines.
Actress Obey Etok Chima, who shared the news of Uwazie's death, revealed that he underwent a second brain surgery before his passing. Uwazie gained recognition in the Nigerian movie industry during the 2000s and had recently relocated to the United States.
In a heartfelt message, Obey expressed her shock and disbelief, recalling Uwazie's plans to pursue better opportunities in the States. She mourned the loss of her friend and former classmate from the Imo State University, acknowledging that God's plans are beyond comprehension. She concluded by wishing Uwazie eternal rest.
During his career, Uwazie appeared in various films, including Musical Whispers, Village Destroyer, Last Kiss, and many others. He had been residing in the United States for the past seven years.
