A Nigerian tennis champion, Tanya Okpala, who represented the country in the 1990s, evokes sympathy as she is spotted homeless on the streets of Awka.
The former athlete, known for her contributions in the 90s female tennis sports competitions, shocks fans and Nigerians by being seen roaming the streets.
It came as a shock for fans and Nigerians in general to see her roaming [/b]the streets.
A fellow who spotted her in the street interviewed her and she rambled on about how she had been rejected by the society who leer at her for being a half-caste.
She had also resorted to begging for alms for people as she could be heard soliciting money to get herself a bottle of water.
