Nollywood mourns as seasoned actress Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, best known for her role as Ovularia in the 1980s television series “The New Masquerade,” passes away.
The veteran thespian, Evoeme sadly passed away at 81 years old.
This comes after rumours of her death had made the rounds in 2019, which was later proven to be false.
The Evoeme Emekalam family released a statement in which they thanked friends, family, and coworkers for their support and asked for privacy at this difficult time.
Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, fondly known as Ovularia from the iconic 80s TV sitcom ‘The New Masquerade’, has passed away at the age of 81.
Born on December 1, 1942, Ovularia’s demise was confirmed by a family member who stated that she died surrounded by loved ones.
In a statement released by the Evoeme Emekalam family, they expressed gratitude to fans, friends, and colleagues for their support and requested privacy during this time of grief.
