In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, popular Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia emotionally shared her harrowing experience of domestic abuse at the hands of her ex-husband. The talented screen diva revealed that she got married at the young age of 22, unaware of the hardships she would face in her marriage.
Recalling the disturbing incidents, Etinosa disclosed that her ex-husband subjected her to maltreatment and consistently asserted dominance over her. She tearfully recounted how her husband explicitly told her, "I'm not your friend, I'm your lord," demonstrating the power dynamic he imposed in their relationship.
She further disclosed a particularly traumatic incident where she was tied up and abused to the point where she required medical attention. Seeking solace, Etinosa shared how she turned to fasting and prayer while enduring physical and emotional pain. The severity of the abuse was evident as she likened her experiences to torture scenes depicted in CIA movies.
When asked if there was physical violence involved, Etinosa candidly answered, emphasizing the extent of her ex-husband's brutality by asking rhetorically, "What breaks a person's bones? What lands someone in the hospital with oxygen tubes in their nose?" She also mentioned her preference for taller men, implying that her ex-husband's blows were particularly forceful due to his height.
The video of Etinosa tearfully recounting her ordeal has circulated on social media, shedding light on the issue of domestic abuse and highlighting the importance of raising awareness about such harmful relationships.
