Renowned Nollywood actor, John Okafor, affectionately known as Mr Ibu, is reportedly grappling with a precarious state of health, struggling with speech just a month after a life-saving leg amputation.
Recent developments reveal that Mr Ibu has undergone another surgery involving the removal of a section of the same leg that underwent amputation in the previous month, as reported by Vanguard.
Worries compound not only with Mr Ibu's deteriorating health but also with the declining condition of veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor, who has been hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State, for over two months.
In a telephone conversation with Vanguard, Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided an update on the health of these ailing actors, stating, “We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation.”
