Mohbad's father has raised disturbing allegations regarding the late singer's wife, Wunmi, claiming that she was unfaithful and used to drug his son to facilitate infidelity with another artist in the same house. These shocking revelations were made during a coroner's inquest, part of the ongoing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the singer's death.
Mr. Joseph Aloba, the late singer's father, disclosed that his son had confided in him about his wife's unfaithfulness. According to him, she would allegedly drug his meals to induce heavy sedation, allowing her to engage in intimate relations with another artist who resided in the same house.
He stated:
"Mohbad and I lived together for 18 good years. He had never fallen sick, and I only took him to a chemist when he was 16 to treat rashes. He left the house when he reached the age of consent to assist Naira Marley and pursue his own music career. When he started making it, he discussed reconciling with his mother, which I supported. He even bought me a car for that. When issues arose between him and Naira, he assured me he would handle it.
"Wunmi was a very unfaithful wife to my son. Mohbad told me that she used to put sleeping pills in his noodles and then engage in intimate encounters with a fellow artist in another room within the same house where they lived. I don't trust Wunmi at all. My son also told me that all the documents for his landed property were in the possession of Wunmi's mother to this day. He came to visit me three days before his death. Regarding his neck appearing bent in the casket, I wasn't present at the burial, and I only saw the picture later."
