Nigerian actor, Mike Uchegbu, voices his concerns about the state of affairs in Nollywood, particularly in light of Junior Pope's tragic death, questioning why life jackets weren't provided.
In an 8-minute long video, he reflects on the incident, expressing frustration over the preventable nature of the tragedy and emphasizing the importance of prioritizing safety measures, especially in hazardous filming environments like water scenes.
Mike Uchegbu implored the Nollywood industry to halt all movie productions and make demands for things to be done right.
He added that many others have lost their lives in a quest to produce movies and this case was just widely publicized because Jnr Pope was popular.
The actor admitted his understanding that many of them are hustling to make money in the industry, however, they must collectively demand that things are done in the right manner.
