Muyiwa Awoniyi, the manager of Nigerian singer, Tems, has shared a touching story of how the Grammy-winning artist led praise and worship in her prison cell. This inspiring act reportedly occurred when Tems was detained by the Uganda police in 2020 alongside fellow Nigerian artist Omah Lay.
Muyiwa, who was not present during her incarceration, expressed his concern for Tems and wondered how she was faring in the female section of the prison. However, he later discovered that the talented musician had used her gift to spread hope and joy to those around her. According to Muyiwa, Tems conducted praise and worship in the entire prison cell, with everyone joining in the singing. The Grammy winner's powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics reportedly took over the whole prison, bringing a sense of peace and unity to the inmates.
