Isaac Godwin Omokri, a clergyman and senior pastor of The Nuture Centre church in Abuja, who happens to be activist, Reno Omokri’s step-brother has been accused of a grave crime.
He is alleged to have committed the heinous act of raping a minor who is a member of his own church.
The accusations have sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns and demanding swift action.
In a viral video shared by GistLover blog on Instagram, the father of the victim said his 15-year-old daughter had to drop out of school because of the traumatic experience.
The victim’s father who goes by the name Bless Dan said that he got Godwin arrested but he made bail and is currently walking a free man.
According to him, pastor Godwin told his daughter she would suffer from kidney failure should she fail to heed his instructions not to tell a soul about the rape incidence.
He also said that he went to where the said church is located and realised it has been shut down.
Godwin according to the father of the victim is reportedly connected as one of his (Godwin) parents is a retired judge.
In the viral video, father of the victim narrated that Godwin is alleged to be a relation of controversial opinionated social media critic, Reno Omokri who is a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and a supposed staunch supporter of Atiku Abubakar, a former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 general election.
Speaking further, he said, “All I want is justice. I want a Nigeria where everybody can have access to justice. You raped my daughter and molested her. He was arrested but is now a free man as he was granted bail. I don’t know how many people his victims are but I am calling on well-meaning Nigerians to help me get justice for my daughter,” Bless Dan cried on X.
