Desola Afod, the wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, faces criticism for her recent statement, where she vows never to divorce her husband, even if he cheats, with some labeling her as exhibiting 'low self-esteem.'
During an interview with Debbie Shokoya on her Talk Show, the mother of four boys expresses her commitment to stand by her husband, emphasizing that leaving him over infidelity wouldn't guarantee a faithful partner in the future.
She emphasized that leaving her husband over such an issue wouldn’t guarantee that the next man she meets would remain faithful to her.
Desola affirmed that although her husband is not flawless but he is a good man. Kunle Afod’s wife added that as long as he doesn’t engage in physical assault, she sees no reason to contemplate leaving him.
“Kunle Afod is not perfect but he is a good man. If I decide to leave him based on what people say or what he did, I will still meet the same thing where I’m going.
“Let me get this straight, you ask that I leave my husband because he is cheating, will the new man I am going for not cheat? Debby, I won’t lie to you, it’s a lie it is a big lie. I tell people to always persevere understand themselves and be tolerant. And like I said, no marriage is perfect,” she said.
