Reality TV star Kim Oprah has recently opened up about her challenging experience with immigration officers in Kenya. In a candid “get ready with me” (GRWM) video, the TV star detailed her unpleasant encounter during a trip to another African country.
Kim Oprah explained that she holds a second citizenship, which typically permits visa-free entry into several African nations, including Kenya and Tanzania. Despite this, she encountered issues when she arrived in Kenya. The Kenyan immigration authorities insisted that she use her Nigerian passport and obtain a visa, contrary to her expectations based on her dual citizenship status.
According to Kim Oprah, the immigration officials justified their request by stating that African nationals from other countries were exploiting visa-free provisions to engage in illegal activities. This led them to require a visa for her entry into Kenya.
She further shared that after she applied for a visa on arrival, she was eventually granted permission to enter Kenya without further complications. This experience, she noted, was a significant inconvenience and was quite different from her previous travels.
