Pastor Femi Lazarus, a prominent figure in his congregation, recently offered advice to the women under his spiritual care, urging them not to marry a man whose phone they cannot access.
He issued a warning to women, cautioning them against adopting the notion that peace in marriage means avoiding scrutiny of their husbands' phones.
The pastor went on to illustrate his point by sharing his own practice. Despite being physically located in Ibadan, he disclosed that his devices in Lagos have WhatsApp installed, and his wife has the liberty to review his chats.
According to him, many spouses should be accountable to themselves and have spiritual fathers or mothers who can call them to order if they go wrong.
