Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars show, recently shared the heartfelt reason behind her interactions with the cowrie shells she brought into Biggie's House during the show. Originally hailing from Kogi, she disclosed this during an appearance on Pulse's One On One, hosted by another reality star, Christy O. In her revelation, Ilebaye explained that she carries and speaks with the cowrie shells as a way to cherish the memory of her late brother. This came in response to a query from Christy O about CeeC's claim regarding Ilebaye talking to the cowries.
Ilebaye revealed that she carries and speaks with the cowrie shells as a way to keep the memory of her late brother alive.
“There is a claim online where CeeC was saying that you had cowries that you were talking to. Can you tell me more about it?” Christy O asked.
In response, Ilebaye said;
“I had something precious to me. Because obviously, you are supposed to have something precious when you’re doing something that you miss at home.
“And the cowries were for my late brother. It has been with me and even the baton. I have a baton on him too. I didn’t know where to keep it. I was just like, Oh! Let me hold something strong.
“It just helps me feel like he [my late brother] is around. He is still with me,” she added.
