Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Omah Lay, recently opened up in an interview about his shifting perspective on religion, particularly how his relationship with faith evolved as his financial status changed.

In a conversation with renowned host Wunmi Bello on her popular show, Omah Lay delved into his personal journey. He explained that, initially, he was deeply religious, having grown up in a Christian household. His upbringing involved a significant amount of time spent in church, and at one point, he even contemplated converting to Islam.

However, Omah Lay shared that as he began to experience financial success, his perspective on religion underwent a transformation. He explained that he no longer found fulfillment in traditional religious practices, primarily because he couldn't find concrete evidence that the holy books were divinely authored. His journey led him to prioritize humanity over rigid religious affiliations.

Although he no longer adheres to the strictures of organized religion, Omah Lay still believes in the existence of a higher power that guides and influences his life.
