Renowned artist Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage as Mr Eazi, has recently made serious allegations against comedian I Go Dye, accusing him of embezzling money related to a concert in Ghana.
In a detailed interview with the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast, Mr. Eazi disclosed the incident where, despite being paid for a scheduled performance, the comedian failed to appear at the concert in Ghana, leaving Mr. Eazi with both financial losses and a sense of betrayal.
Sharing his experience, Mr. Eazi recounted a previous event he organized, the Swagatainment Award, where he had booked notable artists like R2Beees, Wande Coal, and Sarkodie. Wande Coal, who was in town for the event, did not show up, and later, Mr. Eazi discovered that he hadn't received his full payment. In a tight spot, Mr. Eazi had to plead with Sarkodie to perform despite not being paid in full— an act that solidified their bond.
However, the most striking revelation came when Mr. Eazi claimed, "I Go Dye ran away with my money." He revealed having texted the comedian about the unpaid amount and expressed his intention to remind him, stating, "I hope the next time I see him, I will tell him bro, you still need to pay me my money. It is not a beef. It is somewhere in the back of my mind."
To provide additional context, a Twitter post embedded in the interview captured the moment Mr. Eazi vocalized his grievances, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.
