Nollywood actor, Gideon Okeke, recently shared his thoughts on single mothers who prevent their children from having relationships with their fathers after a divorce. He implored them to act with empathy since the situation is no longer solely about them. This comes after a messy divorce with his ex-wife.
Through his Instastory, Gideon Okeke revealed that he became aware of several men being punished by their ex-partners for going public about their divorce from their wives. In his post, he asked about the therapy or advice that is reserved or suggested for men who find themselves in this situation. He also questioned if speaking up is a shameful thing and if work or the advice of going back to work could truly alleviate the pain.
Gideon Okeke expressed his empathy towards fathers who have not abandoned their responsibilities to their children and are often reduced to merely paying fees. He emphasized the importance of fathers in the lives of their children and the need to be humane.
